1. Elephants. I rode an elephant!!!!! They were so awesome! I got lifted up by the trunk too. And they had a great elephant show! I kept thinking how much my siblings would love it. We have to save up for a trip to Thailand one day! The elephant ride was way fun but pretty bumpy. I thought I was going to fall out! The only bummer about the day.... 5000 Mosquito bites. Sorry if I come home with malaria or whatever mom. I am kidding but I do have so many bites. I am praying they are mosquitoes and not bed bugs!!! I wouldn't put it past our hotel. Our hotel was kind of nice but there was no was to get done from the third floor except for going up to the fifth floor and then down. Basically we would have died for sure if there was a fire or earthquake. Luckily I am now on a plane to Bangkok so I survived!
2. We went on a little river boat cruise that was mostly just hot and sweaty. It was also more of a bamboo raft than a boat. But it took us to the hill tribes of the long neck ladies. Again, the pictures of everything are on lexis camera. We all take our pictures on that! Visiting the ladies was kind of weird to me. Basically they have stores sets up all along a hill and they just sit there in silence with the rings around their necks and people just stare at them and buy stuff. I couldn't figure out if the rings were real. Apparently they never take them off and they are all welded together. Even the little kids had them on. I forgot my wallet in the bus too so I couldn't even take any pictures.
3. We made an impulsive decision on the way home... A decision that cost me 13 dollars. I pet a tiger. I don't even like big dogs people. Apparently they "aren't sedated and just trained to like people and fed a lot of chicken constantly so they are never hungry" but I am sure there is some animal cruelty going on. It was pretty cool though. I think I beat Andrew's snake picture from the jungle villiage in ecuador. I need to get those pictures for sure. You guys would love them! It was fun to play tourists in Chiang mai for a day! We went to the night market that night but it was crazy busy and Lexi lasted a lot longer than I did!
