June 6, 2015 Go Global Adventure Day 7

Day 7 top three:

Can you believe it has been a week?! One country down. I cannot believe it!

1. First they eat dinner for breakfast, but not like cold pizza from the night before, we are talking Thai buffet pretty much. Our first stop of the day was an umbrella factory. But not like the factories we have been visiting. Everything was handmade. It is kind of a touristy activity but still really cool. The owner took us around and he was funny. After the tour we were all shopping and getting fans and umbrellas and backpacks hand painted and he came up to me and told me he needed to talk to me..... We hadn't really talked and I hadn't asked a ton of questions so I was confused. He said he noticed one thing about me during the tour.... My bad posture!! Hahaha! It reminded me of Papa! He pulled my shoulders back and made me practice walking while looking 90 degrees in front of me. I know I need to work on it now! Steve is my designated reminder to hit me on the back if I am ever slouching.

2. The second visit was a similar thing, there aren't many big factories and businesses in Chiang Mai. This one was a really nice gem factory. We watched a short intro movie and then watched how they were made. It was pretty cool! And then they took us to their huge showroom. We weren't allowed to take pictures though... Or else I would have taken a picture of... MY DREAM WEDDING RING! It was so pretty. I tried it on like four or five times. Haha it was really simple.. Just a skinny gold band with a diamond on it. 9,000 dollars though hahaha We were there forever though because there were thousands of things and everyone started shopping for their significant others and such. It is not as fun buying something for yourself though so I didn't walk away with anything. I looked at wedding rings with Shelby though and another kid in y group almost bought an engagement ring for his girlfriend. I helped Dan pick something out for his wife. It was nice to be in air condition at least!

3. I will just put it out there right now, we got Thai massages. It was crazy. They took about four of us up at a time and made us put on these funky clothes. I was with Andrew (go global andrew)  jason and massiel. The room was like four or five stories up and it looked like a bedroom with four twin beds. Don't worry nothing too crazy happened. Just lots of elbows in my back. The massage was so painful and it was full body. (Don't worry like I said it was nothing too crazy) I was nearly whimpering at some points. Andrew (Naegle) would have been proud of me because usually I won't even let him massage my back because his hands are too strong and it hurts. It was definitely an experience. It felt kind of good after but today my neck is sore. Haha I wish I could explain everything or had a video but I will show you guys when I get home. My money is flying out of my pocket a lot quicker than it was in Vietnam that is for sure! Love and miss everyone!
