June 5, 2015 Go Global Adventures Day 6

Day 6 Top Three

1. As soon as we got to the hotel we had about an hour to unpack and then our day in the life project started. I was with Steve and Massiel. We got really lucky because within a few minutes of leaving the hotel we found a few school kids, more like 17 year olds who hung out with us for the next couple of hours! And they spoke English!!! They took us to the ATM and showed us around the city! Their names (or nicknames I should say) were Mop, Urt, Sandwhich, Co. Co spoke the best English. Sandwich apparently had two sisters named Pizza and Doughnut Hahaha They were so fun and I bought them ice cream at seven eleven.

2. The boys had to leave but we ate at their favorite restaurant. Very traditional Thai food. I got Pad Thai and it wasn't bad at all! It was actually pretty good no matter how sketchy the place was. We met up with another group and they came with us to dinner. Dans son was sitting next to me and his food was so spicy. Turns out he had to stay in the next day...... Haha not sure if it was the restaurant or the spice! Oh the boys also bought us some street food.... I think they were raw pork meatballs... But I survived!!

3. To finish off the day in the life activity we of course had to get a foot massage. But this one was not like anything I have ever experienced before... I put my feet it a tank of hundreds of fish!!! It was crazy! You know me and my ticklish feet... I started screaming and laughing so loud and a whole crowd gathered around me. I wanted to pull my feet out the whole entire time. We need to bring these things to the U.S.! Haha! I loved it! But kind of hated it at the same time. Chiang Mai is a lot cooler.. Well not a lot, but it isn't Vietnam that is for sure. There are a lot more tourists and it is cleaner. It reminds me more of Hawaii a little bit and I am loving it!
