Friday Night -- March 4, 2016

After an office day working on organizing receipts the La Torres came over to East Raya. The girls swam and we visited with Che and Charles. Everyone calls Cheryl, Che. The girls swam for hours and loved it. They are a great family. Brad offered to buy pizza for them. I pitched in. They came upstairs and hung out, ate pizza, and had lots of good laughs. The girls are 13 and 11. Chevie the 13 year old is a lot more outgoing and talkative. The others girls and really sweet too. After pizza Che told us their whole story. It is really long (like they were there until 9:30) but it is a good one. 8 years after submitting a condensed version is coming to the September liahona!! She just found out last week. It feels really good to know how much they appreciate our help. Especially after hearing how they came from nothing and managed twin girls and a one year old. They were realllly poor at some points but they are great people who truly can be super successful. They have vision and work hard which is a little bit uncommon. They also have more faith than anyone I have ever met. It was a happy Friday night. And I ate dominoes. Nothing is better than good company and good food.
