Finally Melanie--March 2, 2016

After a month we finally met Melanie. She owns a preschool and is also a member of the church. Her preschool is a little different than the La Torres though. It is in the middle of the slums. A nice big building but not exactly as great of a location. This causes one of her biggest problems. Clients not paying. They have to pay monthly because no one can afford to pay upfront and then a lot of them never pay. Well see she also has this teacher who is kind of rude and has offended a lot of her parents. And the parents go and tell everyone else. So she lets the parents who aren't paying off the hook in order to keep them happy. It is a vicious cycle. Now that I think about it she might be the one with the son studying accounting who is preparing monthly reports. The preschool looks really nice inside and definitely has some potential. I am really excited to work with her and meet her again. Not sure the exact changes we need to make yet. We told her the first assignment is to write a list of guildlines or rules about what happens if you don't pay on time. I suggested you write a vision/mission statement so it shows what the parents can also expect of her. She is really nice though and I like her a lot. When we got there she tried to make us feel welcome and got us cokes and sugar bananas. They are so sweet here. The people. Not the bananas. Well the bananas are too.
